This file's original purpose was calculating gear ratios and drivetrain capacities in the shop. The program now features additional pages for determining chainring bolt-circle-diameters, a spoke-length calculator that accounts for hubs with differing flange diameters and asymmetric rims, a gear table for the Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14, and more.

The most current update (12/1/02) includes metric units in the gear calculator and several other minor adjustments.

The file appears to have a tendency to occasionally auto-change column widths so that they are too narrow to properly display values. If this occurs, simply unprotect the sheet using the password "hubbub", turn on Row & Column Headers under Tools/Options.../View, and use Autofit on the too-narrow columns. (double-click on the right-hand dividers within the headers) I do recommend keeping the sheets protected during use to prevent inadvertent changes to the formulas. You will still be able to enter data to appropriate yellow cells.
